Patient R-21 is a first-person point-and-click horror puzzle game. Follow the story of a doctor experimenting on a captive patient, solving puzzles to escape once the patient breaks free. Me and a team of 4 other talented individuals created an MVP (minimal viable product) of the game 2 levels in 8 months (1 class across 2 semesters).

I contributed to this project across several areas. In terms of Roles, I focused primarily on game design, helping to create the level layout and designing puzzles that supported the intended pacing and learning curve. At the same time, producing key art assets, specifically inventory items, and creating, editing, modifying, and implementing all sound assets, including effects and ambient audio.

The main Challenges I encountered were scope and time management, as puzzle iteration, audio polishing, and asset creation all competed for limited development time, requiring careful prioritization and iteration. Through this process, I developed new Skills Gained, including stronger level design fundamentals, improved puzzle readability, and practical experience designing and integrating sound to enhance player feedback and atmosphere.
